Richard Llewellyn-Bell

Richard is our Director of Legal Services responsible for delivering high quality, fixed fee employment law advice and HR support to businesses throughout the UK. Recognising that there is a big difference between employment law theory and practice, Richard is commended by clients for providing commercial, no-nonsense, and reassuring advice – keeping clients on the right side of the law whilst maintaining their commercial objectives. He is passionate about going the extra mile for Bell Taylor clients and firmly believes “there’s always a way!”

Andrea Llewellyn-Bell

Andrea is our Director of Client Services and plays a key role in the day to day running of Bell Taylor with the number one priority of ensuring all our clients are happy ones! High on the list of responsibilities is taking care of our clients’ additional HR support needs such as disciplinary and grievance investigations. Andrea joined the business in 2017 after almost 30 years in the banking sector where most recently she was responsible for carrying out thorough investigative work as part of her compliance and regulatory role. Andrea’s critical skills and experience in this field give employers a premium level of work often missing from arguably the most important part of any HR process in establishing the facts – an area that employers grapple with time and again.

Nick Blackbourn

Nick joined us in May 2020 in a brand new role as Business Counsel providing support to employers with their general ‘in-house’ legal matters. They say ‘there’s no substitute for experience’ and Nick certainly brings that by drawing from over 35 years of working as part of the management teams of a wide variety of businesses from World leading FTSE 100 companies, to small or family owned businesses and having run his own. In finding opportunities, putting deals together, helping you steer through the choppy waters of disputes or ensuring your risk exposure is minimised whilst staying pragmatic and commercial, the value of having Nick on your side to bolster your business’ management, work with you to grow your business and improve profitability is impossible to quantify.

Jason Davenhill

Jason is our Performance Coach with a vast experience from a career as an RAF helicopter instructor and aircrew performance coach. He is a skilled business improvement specialist with a passion for supporting the professional development of people, including those looking to improve their resilience and coping strategies. Jason mentors individuals, teams and organisations to drive performance improvement and generate a greater awareness of how the human factor can influence businesses. His specialisms include coaching & mentoring, operational excellence, leadership & people management and human factors coaching. In his spare time, he does everything else, including making music, singing, acting and walking ‘Keith’ his beloved Airedale.

What we do

Bell Taylor began in January 2013 offering employers fixed fee and unlimited employment law advice and HR support. A ‘cradle to grave‘ service, taking ownership of all things concerning the work relationship between employer and employee. From anything an employer may think is a simple query but perhaps not 100% certain, to more complex matters such as dismissals and business transfers.

We have evolved over the years, recognising our clients’ increasing needs for more HR support services, so we can now offer additional services such as occupational health, performance coaching, mediation and HR ‘on-site’ support. 

 

More recently, listening to our clients’ needs for additional advice and support for their business including business development, corporate and commercial legal matters, we can now offer this with the introduction of our Business Counsel to provide strategic advice and assistance ,being a flexible part time in-house counsel service dealing with things like running acquisitions,  commercial contracts, strategic advice, corporate  and shareholder matters.
 
Whether it’s Employment or Business Counsel Support, we pride ourselves on delivering a personal approach to employers in the UK. With our Employment Law & HR Support service, by offering fixed fee, unlimited HR support and employment law advice, we cut through the expensive hourly rates of law firms and call-centre style advice from HR consultancies. Instead, providing ‘hand-holding’ HR support and 'sound-boarding', finding innovative commercial solutions for our clients, often when the law doesn't always fit with commercial needs of businesses.
 
We operate as a team of experienced, committed and creative lawyers always looking to find a way for your business. We add value and build lasting relationships with employers, developing a full understanding of your needs, from which we can provide tailor-made, commercial advice.

Our current client renewal rate for our fixed fee/fixed period service is 95%.
